What an ideal customer profile is

An ideal customer profile (ICP) describes the companies and people most likely to buy from you: their role, their company, the situation they are in, and what tips them into buying.

It is narrower than your market. A good one also says who looks like a buyer and never is, so you stop spending time on them.

Questions people ask

What is an ideal customer profile?
A description of the companies and people most likely to buy from you: the roles that buy, the company size and industry, the situation that makes them a buyer, the moments they buy in, and who is not a fit.
What is the difference between an ICP and a buyer persona?
An ICP describes which companies and roles to sell to. A buyer persona describes one person inside them in more depth: goals, objections, where they get information. Start with the ICP; personas sit inside it.
How many ICPs should I have?
Usually two or three. One per kind of buyer who buys for a different reason, such as founders doing their own sales and the agencies who do it for others. More than that and none of them is sharp.
How does the generator write it?
Dogo reads your website's main pages and your LinkedIn company page, then an AI model writes a profile for each kind of buyer it finds there. It only uses what is public.
What do I do with an ICP once I have it?
Use it to decide who to reach out to, and who not to. WarmDogo takes it further: it watches LinkedIn every day for people who match it and are showing interest, and tells you why each one fits.
